One of the major frameworks of The Cosmic Creation is IDENTITY. That entails understanding our own identity and understanding how we can shift into identities that already carry the resonance of our desires.

Identity as the Starting Point

Our desires don’t manifest just because we want them. They manifest because we become the version of ourselves who naturally carries them. We identify as someone who attracts our desires with ease. This ideology is the core of the work within The Cosmic Creation.

Our identities shape our perception.

Our realities reflect our perception.

This is the basis of embodiment.

My Blueprint and the Identity Tension

My 7th House Sun and Projector energy type create a natural struggle with identity. I also struggle with feeling energized without relational exchange. I am supposed to shine and feel alive through exchange, collaboration and connection.

For years, I felt shame and resentment around this. Embarrassment, even. I couldn’t understand why I struggled with my purpose, why my core identity felt unclear or why I needed to be around other people and in connection with them in order to show who I truly was. If you know me, you know I can be very detached, introverted, and, at times, an enigma.

These two parts of my identity sit on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. They feel like they are competing with each other constantly. Its exhausting. And that is why, for so long, it wasn’t that I struggled with knowing who I was — it’s that I struggled with letting myself shine. I struggled with balancing the part of myself I kept reserved for me and my closest loved ones and the part of myself I allowed outsiders to experience. I struggled with letting the core of who I am, my Sun, shine and be witnessed by others.

Instead, I tried on personas and identities that I was told “fit me”, or that I felt like I was supposed to step into. It wasn’t until more recently that I realized there is a stark difference between one’s identity and their blueprint.

Blueprint vs. Unique Expression

It is important to remember: all of these systems that categorize us, label us and differentiate us based on characteristics or innate energies are just blueprints. They give insight into the foundation of who we are. They don’t actually define us. They only know when and where we were born, and the patterns shown historically based on the energies associated with that information.

You determine who you want to be. You determine how this is expressed.

When we think about God — God within each of us — I see the blueprint as the factory setting. But the moment we were imparted with spirit, that spirit made us unique. Not when we were born or where we were born, but the uniqueness we bring to the blueprint: our spirit, our experiences, our self-awareness.

As the former girlfriend of an architect, I think of it this way: the blueprint is the foundation, but you can overlay it, design it and customize it to your liking.

Once I accepted that my identity is inherently relational (and that needing others is not a weakness but a feature of my intelligent design) I could finally see clearly that:

My identity is tied to co-creating through interdependence.

This was the genesis of The Cosmic Creation.

I shine when I am collaborating with others, BUT the customization for me is specifically co-creation. I shine when I am co-creating with others, when I am advising others and when I am guiding others on how to create their desired reality. That is how I bring my unique expression — my “everyone is special, but no one is special” spirit — to the foundational blueprint I was given.

Astrology as Guidance

After accepting who I was at my core, I used my birth chart to further study how I can use this information to carry out my purpose.

A Capricorn Midheaven shows me what to focus on in this lifetime: leadership, legacy and public mastery. Capricorn leads me back to Saturn (its ruler), and my Saturn is in the 11th House of community, innovation, collective vision and networks.

Not only is my Saturn in the 11th house but it is also in Aquarius which intensifies this energy. I am here to lead in community spaces, to innovate with others, to build networks, to support collective creation. I shine at the intersection of guidance, connection and shared creation.

Identity IS NOT What You’re “Known For”

Yes. These systems help us pinpoint certain truths, about ourselves and others. But who we want to be and what we want out of life is what helps us customize and specialize our blueprint.

Identity isn’t an aesthetic, talent or any of the labels we cling to (or are given). Identity is not about being known for being: the fun friend, an it-girl, best dressed, a hustler or a multi-hyphenate.

So, that is what identity is about: understand your blueprint, customize it and start living from the version of you that aligns with your desires.
